Educator Rights
Teachers register free, retain intellectual property over CVs and submitted papers, and can delete profiles at any time.
School Accountability
Institutions must maintain verified accreditation and guarantee truthful compensation details in vacancy listings.
Kenyan Jurisdiction
Agreements are interpreted and enforced in strict accordance with the laws and courts of the Republic of Kenya.
Zero Fraud Tolerance
Immediate termination of accounts involved in fraudulent recruitment, extortion, or academic credential forgery.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, creating an account on, or interacting with MwalimuLink (www.mwalimu.info), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue using the platform immediately.
MwalimuLink is an educational digital platform owned and operated by Schools Net Kenya, an educational consultancy organization registered under Kenyan laws.
Scope of Portal Services
MwalimuLink delivers centralized educational matchmaking and resource infrastructure, including:
- Teacher Professional Network: Free digital profile creation, TSC registration verification, and nationwide vacancy discovery.
- School Staffing Infrastructure: Candidate search tools, applicant management, and vacancy broadcast services for accredited public, private, and international schools.
- Teaching Practice (TP) Hub: Student teacher practicum matching and mentor evaluation tools.
- Educator Publications Hub: A collaborative repository for educational research papers, curriculum innovations, and pedagogical guides.
User Accounts & Security Obligations
When registering an account on MwalimuLink, you represent that all information provided is true, accurate, current, and complete.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and password.
- You agree to notify MwalimuLink immediately upon discovering any unauthorized use of your account.
- Accounts registered using false identities, fictitious school names, or impersonated TSC credentials will be permanently banned without notice.
Teacher & Applicant Responsibilities
Teachers utilizing the platform agree to:
- Provide genuine academic certificates, TSC numbers, and accurate teaching history.
- Conduct themselves with utmost professionalism during school interviews and communications.
- Independently verify terms of service and employment contracts before committing to institutional transfers or overseas relocation.
School & Employer Standards
Registered educational institutions and school administrators warrant that:
- All posted vacancies reflect legitimate, funded teaching vacancies.
- Candidate personal data accessed through MwalimuLink will be used solely for hiring evaluation and not shared with outside third parties.
- No unlawful hiring fees or recruitment deductions will be demanded from applicants.
Subscriptions, Fees & Refund Policy
• Teachers: Account registration, profile maintenance, and publication submission are free of charge. Optional fees apply only to specialized contact unlocking for specific priority placements.
• Schools: Annual institutional subscriptions grant unlimited vacancy postings and full candidate database access for the billing period.
• Refunds: Subscription payments are non-refundable once portal access has been granted, except in cases of verified double billing.
Publications & Intellectual Property Rights
Educators and scholars submitting pedagogical articles or PDF research papers to the Publications Hub retain full copyright over their work. By publishing on MwalimuLink, you grant Schools Net Kenya a non-exclusive license to index, display, and syndicate the publication for educational advancement.
The software, layout, database design, logos, and graphics of MwalimuLink are proprietary to Schools Net Kenya and protected under Kenyan and international copyright laws.
Limitation of Liability
MwalimuLink acts as an intermediary communication platform connecting educators and institutions. To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, Schools Net Kenya shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from contractual disputes between schools and teachers, school hiring decisions, or independent overseas placement arrangements.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use of MwalimuLink shall first be submitted to mutual amicable resolution, failing which it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kenya in Nairobi.
